What seems to be the reason for more pro Lewis-George comments appears to be McDuffie skipping events and not offering positions relevant to this forum. So it's hard to argue his side if he doesn't say anything.

+1. I actually do not know if I'd prefer JLG or McDuffie on the issues, but I think it's a huge problem for DC if you can get elected mayor merely be presenting yourself as a prohibitive favorite and refusing to engage. If McDuffie doesn't start laying out some actual positions, I will definitely vote for JLG because at least she has the courage of her convictions.

McDuffie was previously a registered independent, not a Democrat , which makes him more likely to have a broader donor base that could include Trump-aligned contributors.

It's very annoying how Janeese's office has taken over this thread with this dumb nonsense. We want to talk about their positions on education. It's like she won't let anyone talk.

I commented this. Haha that was not eloquent enough to be from a good politician.

It’s not nonsense, he is getting funding from Trumpies solely because he’s big business friendly. This doesn’t mean TRUMP will be friendly.

He has not shown an ounce of interest in DCPS beyond ‘it seems good, let’s bring more tech, and modernized more.’

Now that’s a nothing burger!

Didn’t McDuffie’s kids go to GDS? Why would he care about DCPS or public charters?

They currently go to GDS.

Exactly, he doesn’t give AF. Does he even live in Ward 5 still if they are going to GDS?

Janeese wants to defund charters.

She opposes raising academic standards.

She opposes tracking and creating academic magnet schools.

She will never ever do anything that is opposed by the teachers union.

That's the courage of her convictions.

No thanks.

Isn't Lewis-George's kid a baby? Why would she care about DCPS or public charters?

Would you send your kids to Dunbar?

I don’t actually care about charters particularly (though I don’t want students currently at schools to get harmed). I think they were good for DC. I think it’s less clear they still are in their current iteration. I would actually support some gradual change. She obviously isn’t going to yank all funding tomorrow. Show me any evidence at all that she supports that.

On the other points, what does McDuffie think? Show me somewhere he’s talked about any of these issues.

It's very annoying how closet trumpy astro-turfers are attacking real parents in DC. Go away.

There’s a weird JLG troll. I just hope it’s not actually anyone on McDuffie’s team because then he definitely doesn’t get my vote. The comments are very low brow and boring because they are unverified and some are just lies.

Whereas you can verify that Bowser said if you ‘want more of her McDuffie is your guy.’ So pro business and F schools.

Uh, huh. This is Janeese's go-to move. Anyone who criticizes her must be MAGA. Seems particularly ridiculous because everyone in this city is liberal. Maybe she should grow a thicker skin and maybe learn to be a little more tolerant.

No, but I would send McDuff’s kids.
