Enjoy it, because as soon as you turn on Fox News you’ll be back to angry boomer central.

We are glad.

Hey brainiacs, if schools begin to have to fight harder for applicants, what makes you think they will discourage applicants by going to test required? I think the wishful thinking on this subject on this board is way off for the vast majority of schools. Maybe a handful of super strong brands that this board are focused on will revert to test required (and maybe some red state publics that haven’t already) but I don’t think this big wave of change is coming.

More US kids will go to school outside the US. Many will go to the UK where upon graduation they will be eligible for work visas. Too few US schools offer a good value in education. Tuition will go up to offset grant losses.

Full pay will pick up a slight advantage. Not much will change at the top 50, way too many with no real chance will apply hoping to win the lottery and then be crushed when they don’t.

People here are so desperate for test required they think they can just will it into existence. Similar dynamic occurs every time USNWR rankings and their methodology come up.

Sure, but not for Ivy +. They will be as difficult as ever.

UK and EU universities are starting to look like great alternatives for those that are cost conscious. There are phenomenal universities in the UK and in the EU that teach in English that are on par/better than anything in the t25-t75 range and much cheaper….
