I don't see someone with dementia, to be honest. I see someone who is getting old, yes, and less sharp (never the sharpest knife to begin with), but mostly bored and indifferent. He doesn't care enough to be regularly briefed or to be precise. He's a narcissist who wanted to stay out of jail and exact revenge.

Go look at a few videos. Watch an interview from before the Apprentice years. Watch another one from early on in his first administration. Listen to him now — and also read the transcript from the video, since most of us work very hard, often without realizing it, in an effort to make sense of what we’re hearing. The level of his vocabulary, his ability to express and respond to ideas with multiple parts, his ability to engage in reciprocal conversations, and his use of things like repetition, neologisms, and repeating stock phrases have all changed. He also has fine and gross motor deficits that seem to be worsening. This is in addition to the bored, vengeful, and indifferent qualities that you’ve noted PP.

This. People are generally unaware of how much we all compensate for people who don’t speak well for whatever reason. But there have been numerous pieces by psychiatrists who have concluded he does have dementia. Because he’s been in the public eye for so long it’s not difficult to make the diagnosis.

This. Seriously. Most people would be lucky to be in his physical condition at that age.

Hey liar, list all those “numerous” psychiatrists who “concluded” the President has dementia.

You can’t.

Of course I can. Google is your friend. Here’s one example which 50 signed.

STATEMENT ON COGNITIVE CONCERNS IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
We are a group of medical and mental health professionals with expertise in aging, mental fitness, and how these relate to the capacity for leadership and ensuring our national security. We feel an obligation to express concerns about the manifestations of poor cognitive function in former President Donald J. Trump.

While we cannot make a formal diagnosis without direct examination, his repeated public behaviors and speeches demonstrate strong evidence of significant cognitive decline, aligned with common signs of an early dementia, and include:

o Deterioration in language skills, such as simpler vocabulary, incomplete and incoherent sentences, grammatical errors, and paraphasias (substituting words)

o Impaired memory/recall, such as confabulation, where memory gaps are filled with false or fabricated details

o Tangential thinking, where speech often drifts to unrelated topics in an erratic manner

o Inappropriate or vague statements that lack connection to reality

o Perseveration, where thoughts or ideas are repeated without a relevant trigger

o Rigidity in thinking, evidenced by an inability to adapt or revise opinions, often manifesting as “doubling down”

o Amplification of maladaptive personality traits, such as paranoid (invented threats), narcissistic (excessive focus on self), or antisocial (criminal and dangerous) personality traits

o Disinhibition in speech, such as the frequent use of vulgar, profane language or hate speech

o Disinhibition in behavior, such as impulsive decision making or aggression and violence

We believe these observable and repeated behaviors warrant public awareness of their implications. The multiple signs and symptoms we have observed in Mr. Trump comprise critical information for America’s 2024 presidential voters. We submit this informed opinion by fifty (50) nationally renowned professionals in the interest of public trust and safety.

Voters should consider these facts.

He's not that impressive when compared to Bernie, who is 5 years older than him. Bernie can run circles around him mentally and is still in full possession of his mental faculties whereas Trump is clearly experiencing cognitive decline.

NP. Just take the L train gracefully. From that article:
"The mental health experts who’ve signed the letter also say the ex-president, who despite being the oldest ever person to seek a second term at age 78 has not released any meaningful medical records, “appears to be showing signs of cognitive decline that urgently call for a full neurological workup,” including “a dramatic decrease in verbal fluency, tangential thinking, diminished vocabulary, overuse of superlatives and filler words, perseveration, confabulation, phonemic paraphasia, semantic paraphasia, confusing people (not just names), as well as exhibiting deteriorating judgment, impulse control, and motor functioning (including a wide-based gait).”

Exactly. Democrats hate their most successful opponents.

His parents had much healthier diets and less stressful lives than him. His father was trim. It's not equivalent at all.
