In praise of Olive Garden and Hampton Inn; praise YOUR lowbrow favorites!

I love an Olive Garden salad.

And when the McRib comes out, I get one lol.

My favorite pair of lounge pants were purchased at Walmart.

I am craving a waffle with hash browns from Waffle House but don't live near any.

Popeye’s spicy chicken sandwich is perfection. We only get it every couple of months so I cherish the memory in between.

May I never be at a point in my life where I feel the need to "admit" to eating at places like Olive Garden or Popeyes.

Yawn.

Just say you like it and go lol. This whole "OMG I know it is sooooo bad and embarrassing, usually I am so much KlAsSiEr than this but I must admit to liking OMG *gasp* fast food twice a year!!!11!!1!" is...bleh.

Agree. These threads come up periodically and they are so cringey.

Wendy's breakfast French toast sticks eaten at a table with the fake newspaper covering

+1 we usually go to my ILs in Norfolk for Thanksgiving and have waffle House on Friday morning. We didn't go this year and I'm missing my Waffle House fix.

Yeah, I’m a lawyer and my court suits are from here. Not fancy or designer or anything, but “low brow”?

Ritz crackers

Chili's Awesome blossom--had not thought of those in years, but now I want one!

Their southwestern veggie wrap is delicious.

The quality is terrible, and there's no getting around that. It's a shame because in the 90s/early 2000s, it was reliable.

Captain D’s (it’s been a long time)
Taco Bell
Olive Garden soup, salad, breadsticks
Bojangles
McDonald’s(a good filet o’ fish is sublime)
Little Caesars (sometimes you just want some $8 pizzas)

I had to eat at Cracker Barrel once for a work lunch. My *ss exploded less than two hours later. Never heard of Captain D's or Bojangles. Taco Bell never appealed to me and there's a Cantina one a block from my apartment. Stopped eating fast food after reading Fast Food Nation, but miss Roy Rogers - that stuff was good. I grew up in NYC so never ate chain pizza until I was in my early 20's and immediately hated it. I can get down with Red Lobster, but not Olive Garden.

There’s 2 NoVa Roy Rogers that I’m aware of- one on Rt. 1 by Belvoir and another by Kingstowne. They’re not all gone! It was one of my family’s go-to when I was a kid.

Yeah, but I won’t eat fast food anymore. Like, in the last 20 years, I’ve had In-n-Out twice and no other fast food. My kid wanted a Shamrock Shake, so I made one at home. I really care about the quality of ingredients and all that after reading that book.

This thread isn’t for you. Stop posting how superior you think you are.
