If that was true, would mocking her for that be the right thing to do? |
When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it would be about stubborn people with symptoms they refuse to get checked out with a doctor.
Thought immediately of my adult DD with a chronic illness who is in this category. Her BMI is less than 16. Boy, was I surprised by what the OP had in mind. |
You were surprised to hear America has an obesity problem? |
Was surprised to see people who do "not take better care of themselves" means people who are overweight versus people who do not take seek medical help when they should including really thin people like my DD. Many like DD do not take care of their health, but OP somehow thinks the only health issue is being overweight. |
I'm the OP and I'm interested to hear your discussion as well. I think it all does connect. I started getting serious about my own fitness after having a health scare and getting some stern talking to by a doctor. I hate going to the doctor and dread it, but have learned that it's important to do. |
Why does society have to motivate obese people? The problem is people need to want it for themselves, not others. They should look in the mirror and decide they don’t like what these and make a lifestyle change. Not PP, but I am not skinny but also not obese. I know what I need to do to keep in a healthy range. I could lose about 10 pounds and I am working on it. I think about my food choices and do some exercise. I’m not perfect. |
It is having a dreadful societal cost. And we're on track to bankrupt medicare with Ozempic. |
Being skinny on the outside means you are ugly on the inside? Stop being so jelly. I worry about myself only. I know what I need to do. If everyone took responsibility of their own health, the US would not be in this obesity crisis and worried about the cost and shortages of Ozempic. People like you shame skinny people too. You probably call them Almond Moms behind their back. I know people like you. Stop hating’. |
