I watched cable news tonight. They are spending a lot more airtime on Biden’s debate performance, polling about Biden, who might succeed Biden than the recent blockbuster SC cases. It’s absurd.

The President represents a whole branch of the government. Each SCOTUS ruling no matter how awful (and they’re awful) is one part of a branch of the government. They have to cover the debate performance.

If a second debate happens and Biden really performs and the media doesn’t cover it, then yes I will see them as complicit. But even before the media coverage, people watching the debates were texting each other absolutely horrified. I don’t think the media is applying that horror I think they’re reporting what people really do want to know.

If I were you, I might go look at the RW vs LW thread. The media’s anti-Democrat bias is evident; you don’t need to wait for a new example.

Me again: I just thought of a great example of the allegedly liberal media going to sleep on a fairly significant issue in the right wing: Alito’s Christian nationalist flags. The man actually flew two Christian nationalist flags, one over each of his homes. One was an inverted US flag, which, if you know anything about flag code, just isn’t done (unless you’re in actual distress) and one was a flag that he actually had to purchase. There was a few days story and now… nothing. You don’t think it’s telling that someone who is supposed to be above politics has such heinous politics? Colin Kaepernick played a sport and knelt and that was blown up by the media, even though he was kind of a nobody in the sport, making a peaceful point, and had zero power to make decisions that affect every person in the country.

A key fact is that voters already know that Trump is terrible, a liar, has a hard time saying an articulate sentence, is overweight and looks like he could have a heart attack any moment, uses too much spray tan etc etc.

HOWEVER, many of us did not believe the reports that that Biden was having so many recall issues and was as disoriented until the debate.

The debate was a game changer and anyone who cannot see this is not facing reality.

Don’t count on him to pick a decent person who believes in America, the constitution, or integrity of public service like Pence did. I don’t like Pence’s politics but he had integrity. Trump learned his lesson and he’ll be sticking with conmen and criminals from now on.
