Failed Principal > Central Office Pipeline Alive and Well?

She hides scared from principals who violate school board policies in their libraries. All of the librarians dont even call her anymore. She gives the wrong information (sometimes in a hilariously bad way) and creates further issue. As a longtime library advocate it pains me so much to know our programs are directionless and going downhill because a decision was made to stick her here instead of firing an incompetent educator.

I’m a librarian in FCPS and have called her and found her to be super supportive. The trainings are incredibly helpful and well-planned. I’ve never heard her give incorrect information ever. You sound like a bitter person at the end of your career- time for you to retire and stop posting under your anonymous cloak. Coward.

I'm trying to decide if (1) the person you are quoting got passed over for the job and is pissed or (2) you are the library supervisor she is talking about.

As a different librarian who is just finding this amazing thread, I’m going to go with 1. Either that or this PP is a brand new librarian who doesn’t know any better. She has no clue what MS/HS librarians do on a daily basis despite having worked in one (very briefly) some years ago.

Hayfield HS Principal just was promoted to Gatehouse. Pipeline alive and well.

We already took care of this on the other thread. So let’s go over it again:

MOVING FROM THE PRINCIPALSHIP TO GATEHOUSE IS NOT A PROMOTION (unless it’s to become an executive principal or a director)

THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED WITH THE FORMER HAYFIELD PRINCIPAL. HE TOOK A DEMOTION.

THIS IS ALSO THE CASE FOR SENIOR MANAGER OF LIBRARY SERVICES. IT WAS A DEMOTION.

GOT IT?

Natalie Lorenzi who was drunk on the job is the library coordinator?!

Is that a joke/exaggeration or true story? Rumor? Not impressed with Lorenzi as library supervisor, wondering about backstory.

She should meet up with the former drunk Navy principal.

He’s also at Gatehouse, I believe.

Part of the reason Fairfax residents want to cut central office staff is that so many working there have demonstrated in schools that they are inept.

As is the parent-ousted Navy principal who came after the drunk one. That would be an interesting meeting.
