Many parents like myself are fed up with the non-stop negativity and trumped-up conspiracies that a few posters are always going on about. I know I am. |
It does seem like these negative nellies try to bully anyone who disagrees with them into silence by calling them a shill. MCPS isn't perfect by any means but overall I feel my kids are doing well, and the issues these people are complaining about like bocce ball don't reflect my concerns. |
+1000 |
That all just affirms the "MCPS is always awful" mindset these people bring to the discussion! |
Nope. MCPS used to be pretty good. But it is what it is. If you think things are going well for your kid, great. But come Fall, I think you'll see what we're talking about. |
MCPS is still pretty good, as good is a relative measure in comparison to everything else. If MCPS is bad, then the greater majority of the nation is really bad or something worse. And if that is true then we should be focusing waay more at the State level and National level that is driving many of the performance indicators, funding and a lot of other things that impact education. Not to mention major vendors like textbook publishers. All of which frankly needs to happen. This will bring us back to initiatives like common core, improving teacher education programs, paying highly effective teachers, etc. And hopefully a discussion about reasonable testing and what qualifies as a quality exam and metrics. |
Seriously, you want bad move to FL. |
That will be 1000 times better than MCPS for sure |
You're a real comedian. |
Typical name calling, online bullying and diversion tactics used by paid PR firm. Ignore this kind of comments. What a waste of tax payer money |
