Poe/AHS are excellent too - just overcrowded. I'm happy to be leaving an overcrowded school. I would have also been happy to stay if they had removed 400+ kids from some other neighborhoods.

Aren't you just trading an overcrowded high school (Annandale) for an overcrowded middle school (Frost)?

Please people, don't even compare the overcrowding at Frost with AHS. Frost has room to grow, AHS did not. Even with all the modulars etc, AHS was a mess. Frost will be fine shortly with reno... and all the kids are not going to just show up because of the liberal grandfathering.

I'll trade slighly higher taxes for a better school any day. It will take several years for the east part of the neighborhood to catch up in value with the west side.

Half of the Wakefield Chapel ES district was already zoned for Woodson and Frost. Now the remaining (eastern side) of the district is also going to Woodson and Frost.

I went to Wakefield Forest as a kid and I remember being really sad b/c my Boyfriend in 6th grade had to go to Poe and I went to Frost. I am glad to see ALL the kids from Wakefield Forest will go to the same middle and high instead of breaking them up!
