Need a Bethesda eye dr. for contacts

My dr. has retired and the ones absorbing his practice are way up in Rockville. Can anyone recommend someone in teh Bethesda/Chevy Chase area where I can get an exam and replacement lenses? We don't carry vision ins. so that's not a concern.

Highly recommend Dr Ben Teller at Eye Doctors of Washington in Friendship Heights: http://www.edow.com/about/our-doctors/

I just went to see Dr. Lerner at the For Eyes in downtown Bethesda and she really listened to me and took her time trying to get the right prescription for me. She's an optometrist, not an opthamologist if that's what you are looking for.

FWIW - she gave me a sample pair of contacts to wear home, but I took her prescription and shopped the internet for better prices than For Eyes had.

Another fan of Dr. Teller. He got me back in soft lenses after > 20 year of gas permeables.

Ive been to Alisa Kim in Bethesda. really like her. Great doctor and super bright. I know the chairman of ophthalmology at Johns Hopkins and he also told me to go see her. Apparently, Dr. Kim was one of his start students several years ago and also served on the faculty at Hopkins for several years. Top notch!
