I'm looking for an internist in Upper NW/CC/Bethesda area in a non-concierge practice; prefer a woman. Thanks for your recommendations!
Try internal medicine center in ch ch. They have some wonderful docs and they do your bloodwork in house
Alan Morrison on Conn Avenue
Dr. Young -- can't think of his first name -- his dad had the practice before him
William Condrell in Spring Valley is terrific
None of those are women.
Says prefers a woman. Not must be a woman.
I see Sue Kanter in Bethesda (Rockspring area). She is a great doctor and was rated #1 in Bethesda magazine, but doesn't take insurance anymore. If you have insurance that covers out of network or are willing to meet your yearly deductable, she is worth it.
I have the same issue. I had a wonderful doctor who decided she didn't like dealing with insurance companies so she branched out on her own and is out of network for all. It stinks. I want a woman doctor. Can anyone recommend a good female internist?
Why female? What's wrong with male doctors?
|
I also use Sue Kanter. She's very clinical in her manner and takes a while (several visits) to warm up, but very thorough and helpful so I'll probably stick with her. Her office provides the forms for me to submit to insurance.
I also will only use female doctors, just out of habit and preference. Now I look for doctors who are slightly younger than me since my best doctor and dentist both retired on me. |
Kerry Gray on East-West Hwy. She works with her husband, also an internist. It is a walk- in, instead of appointment based. Takes BCBS.
Isn't he doing a concierge practice? We used to go to him but didn't want to do the concierge practice. |
pp here, never mind, just realized someone pulled up an old thread.
Love my doc and it's a quick trip on RC Pkwy - Dr. Zahalsky at AHC. I live in CC DC and it takes very little time to get there, he doesn't have long waits and the parking is cheap. Bright and very nice guy. I typically have gone to women but a friend recommended him and I like him a lot.
