Acid reflux, sore throat during pregnancy

Anonymous
I am 24 weeks and I have had an off/on sore throat for a week. I don't have symptoms of any cold/flu or infection. Doctor thinks it could be from all the acid reflux I have been having. Has anyone else had this happen? What did you do for it? In my last pregnancy I had some heartburn but in this pregnancy the reflux is much worse

I took Tums, then Zantac. I slept propped up on five pillows. I avoided acidic and spicy foods. Honestly, the only thing that worked for me were milkshakes. Lots and lots of milkshakes. Good luck!

I used Tums and ate potatoes with most dinners. No spicy foods and as little grease as possible. The grease was really a problem for me. I also slept propped up on 4 pillows. Tried to keep dinners on the light and bland side (mostly using salt, pepper, thyme, sage, parsley for flavor).

A glass of milk did it for me.

The milkshake poster had a good idea. I wish I had read the post a few months ago when it was applicable to me...too many calories though
