Ideas for decorating with a wooden ladder?

I just bought a cool, old 6 ft wooden ladder. Now I have to decide what to do with it. I was going to hang textiles or quilts on it but it seems too narrow to hold my bulky quilts. I could make shelves or hang it from a wall. Does anyone have any other ideas? And if you want to help me out please post links with pictures. I need as many visuals as I can get! Thanks!

I don't have a link but I picture the ladder being hung on the wall sideways. Then you could put hang a picture in each square formed by the rungs.

Alternately, if you have a large kitchen, it could be a cool hanging rack for pots andd pans.
