Real Estate
| We are buying our first home and I have no concept of how I want to paint, furnish, pick light fixtures, window dressings, etc. We have been apartment living with hand me down furniture, so I'm starting from scratch. Any favorite home design websites/blogs where I can get some ideas and figure out my style? |

Apartmenttherapy.com, also like their spinoff sites Ohdeoh and thekitchn.
They have a very Danish modern/midcentury bent, but if that's your thing, you'll get great inspiration there. |

Love this one!
http://www.younghouselove.com/ I wish we were 1/16 as creative as they are! |
| Apartmenttherapy and Makingitlovely.com |
especially if you are doing anything with a kitchen or bathroom, I can't recommend gardenweb enough. People post lots of pictures of completed projects and you can get a feel for what appeals to you. ths.gardenweb.com |
Another vote for this one. |

Houzz has a neat iPad app where you can add photos with notes to your own ideabook. It's nice to be able to do this with out having to sit in front of a computer or have a big laptop on the couch.
