Pregnancy is usually visible. Most of the time, when a woman is in the third trimester, people have been doing her for months about what she will name the baby, does she have the nursery set up, what the other children in the family think about having a new sibling, all of it.

Pregnancy is a public event. Other people have already Incorporated your pregnancy into your story and the story of the community.

Nobody waits to that point to terminate a pregnancy willy-nilly. Can you imagine how many people will be asking about "the baby" when they see she is no longer pregnant -- how's the baby doing? What's the baby's name? Is it a boy or a girl? Friends, family, the checkout clerk at the local grocery store, over and over. Nobody established that by waiting around and then just respond, over and over, "Oh, I decided to have an abortion."

When you really think about it, thinking that women would do this voluntarily is pretty crazy. They do it because something horrific has happened, Andy it is the lesser of two evils
