If you mean prepping for the SOLs, yes, they do, and they do at the GT/AAP Centers as well. I think how much time it takes up during the school year varies school to school, classroom to classroom.

From my experience, they started about a month before the test, and it seemed like they practiced a little bit each day.

Depends on the class. The kids take e cart tests several times during the year to gauge how they are able to handle the sol material for that class. My dd said that the test had questions for both, material they had and had not yet covered.

The school/teacher uses this info to figure out which kids need extra help or support with the test material.

They also spend the time immediately following spring break until the tests are completed at the end of may, reviewing and preparing for the tests.
