prenatal yoga

What does this do? I haven't excercised in six months--have three months to go and am thinking this may relax me-yes? Does it help you get in any kind of better shape? Anyone know of any classes near mclean va?

I love my prenatal yoga class! It's great for practicing deep breathing, stretching and overall well being. It can help keep your muscles toned and moving. Plus, in the class I took I got to meet other pregnant women and talk about different things we were going through. Although it's not near McLean, I would highly recommend the Monday night prenatal yoga class at Pure Prana in Old Town.

I haven't been able to go in a few weeks, but I'm hoping to go back this week.

It's great, it just helps stretches you through completely and works on some of the tricky/painful things you can go through during pregnancy (for example like stretching your wrists b/c of the carpal tunnel syndrome risk etc.). I do a few of the stretches daily and think without I'd be a lot more achy.
