Any of you a member? How's the childcare? I went by on Tuesday around 9:45 and it was CRAZY in the childcare room, but maybe that's a good thing. I'm thinking about joining the Fairfax location.

My kids love going to the gym with me! I go to the C'ville location, and it's always packed in the morning when they offer all the group fitness classes (yoga, etc). It drops off dramatically around say, 11am and doesn't really pick up again until 4:30'ish when the evening crowd starts coming in.

I personally don't like taking them when it's swamped in the kids center. I like that they require kids to use the hand sanitizer before entering, but I still hate the thought of all those kids' germs lingering on surfaces... Guess there's no getting around exposure!

With all the new Macs they have and the tunnels, my kids practically beg to go! When I drive by on errands, my DS3 yells "You missed the gym, Mommy!" so that's about as ringing of an endorsement as you can get, I'd say!

We go to the one in Columbia, MD (formerly members of C'ville - pre kids.) Our kids tolerate it (2 years old.) There aren't usually too many kids there (so many I'd find it unsafe (although we typically go on a weekend since we both work.)) - but we did wait till they were 18 months before bringing them. They have an awesome playground! We love Lifetime!

After the FX location got lice twice, scabies, and the child drowned at the Cvlle location, we quit.

Not for nothing, but the child who drowned at Cville was too young to be swimming unsupervised. Her father was relaxing in the hot tub instead of watching his child. And while scabies and lice are disgusting, I suspect they also show up anywhere children play in groups or daycare centers as well.
