Recommendations for pediatricians in Silver Spring, MD (new to DC)?

Hi,
We're moving to the DC area, and I need to find a pediatrician for my infant daughter in Silver Spring, MD. I don't know anyone in the area so I'm at a loss for recommendations! My plan is CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield. I am particularly curious about the Children First Pediatrics clinic, but also about any other doctors and practices you might recommend. And if there is anyone you'd suggest avoiding, please let me know! Thanks in advance! |

We also do Discovery Pediatrics and like it so far (newborn).

Agree! I know they take BCBS because that's what we have. Parker Pediatrics is also well liked in our neighborhood. |

Agree completely. They are absolutely fabulous. I virtually never have to wait, their doctors take as much time with you as you need, they're very thorough, they never make you feel dumb for asking lots of new parent type questions, their staff is great. I could go on and on. |

| Another Children First Pediatrics family here...My kids have been going to that practice for almost 12 years. The older, original members of the practice have retired and there are quite a few newer/younger doctors these days. We have no complaints about the quality of care. Many friends use the practice as well and all are happy with the practice. |
