Forest Hills, DC, public schools?

Anonymous
Can anyone tell me if Forest Hills is a family-friendly neighborhood? And what are its public schools? And do lots of the kids who live there attend public or private schools?

Thanks!

Murch is the local elementary school, feeding into Deal and Wilson.

There is a well used playground at Chesapeake Street, just east of Connecticut. It is a family friendly neighborhood, as parents have been working hard on the playground and getting sidewalks on all the streets.

Probably an even mix between private and Murch if I had to guess.

Is Murch a good school? I'll search the archives, but just looking for a quick answer.

Murch is a fabulous school.
Forest Hills is a great neighborhood, tons of kids, most attend Murch.

Mann, Key, Lafayette, Janney and Murch are the best schools in the city.

Murch is a wonderful school. The kindergarten teachers are especially great. Our kids went there, and they also loved the playground at Chesapeake and when they were older they played Little League at the baseball field there. Nice community; nice parents.
