Pediatrician in Silver Spring/Chevy Chase/Bethesda/Rockville

Hi,

My husband and I are expecting our first child and are searching for a pediatrician in the Silver Spring, Chevy Chase, Bethesda, Rockville area. Althought we live in SS, we're willing to drive for the right person. Also we have BCBS PPO so an in-network Dr would be a plus. During my search, I've found that many practices either don't accept insurance or accept a limited number of insurance plans. I've never had any problem before trying to find a Dr who takes BCBS, but I guess pediatricians are different.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Discovery Pediatrics in Silver Spring at Dennis and Georgia. They are excellent. Very busy but always get same day sick apts.

Kensington Pediatrics on Conn Ave. - Dr Fusner and her nurse practitioner Nancy Hoover are both very popular. (It's possible to be a patient of Nancy Hoover and never see Dr Fusner, b'c Nancy can write prescriptions. So they ask when you call if you want to meet Dr Fusner or Nancy.) They only accept new patients who are less than 4 weeks old.

Capitol Medical Group in Chevy Chase. Yes on insurance.

Shady Grove Pediatrics in Rockville. They take BCBS. And, more importantly, the three doctors there are nothing short of fantastic!

Same here! We never have problems getting appointments and never have to wait long. DC's Dr. is Dr. Parihk and we love her. We've also seen Dr. Feldman and Dr. Paxton and like them both. Their nurse practitioner is also wonderful. They also take BCBS
