Yay for Insulation!

Just wanted to share that we added R-49 cellular insulation to our attic in November 2010. Our electric (i.e., cooling) bill for our townhome (1500 sq ft, 3 levels) last month was less than $115. We kept the AC at around 73 degrees. Last summer, our bill was near double that and we kept the temp at 78.

| how much was it to add insulation like that? did you do it yourself or hire someone and do you have someone to recommend? thanks. |

I'm also interested in finding out if anyone has added blown-in fiberglass insulation to their walls, and if so, how much it cost and whether it was effective.
