Go Whole Foods - you can buy them in bulk - and they are Spanish pine nuts, not Chinese. Chinese pine nuts can sometimes give a bad metallic aftertaste that lasts for days. |

no, no no! do NOT search for cheap pine nuts (from China). This is the time to suck it up and pay for the good stuff.

| Costco. I just Googled and apparently they may be from China--but they're packaged in the US. I have bought them for a while and had no issues. |
