Weekend Trips

Any ideas for a weekend trip? We're doing the beach next week and have already done Dutch Wonderland this season. I was thinking about a resort - Bedford Springs, Massanutten or Wintergreen. Any other ones or other locations I should consider?

Deep creek is great but not a resort. Heard good things about Rocky Gap.

This place has great cabins and is only about 1:45 from DC. the Cabins at Rose River Farm. You will really like it. Heart of the VA wine country and SNP. Hike the water falls or Old Rag. www.roseriverfarm.com/accommodations

I'm considering Rocky Gap for one night next weekend but have heard that the beach is way too crowded and the pool is way too small: can someone comment on these two assertions (DC is 5 and would rather be a fish than a DC -- in other words, we need a place to swim
