HI,
Long history of SI joint pain, from years of overstretching/over extension from ballet. Now pregnant with #2 and hoping to have a better time of it. With #1, I had a lot of SI joint pain and some pelvic separation (pubis symphisis)---my already loose joints got super duper loose, muscles became weak and unstable, and after the pregnancy I had no strength in one leg (couldt even lift it) and my inner thighs were completely shot. It took 9 months with a PT to heal, slowly, but she's moved out of state and I have no time/money for lots of therapy this time. Does anyone recommend a good video or DVD or exercise program that helped them maintain their lower abs, pelvic floor and general strenght/alignment in the lower back area ? I have been doing yoga, but worry that there's too much stretching for me (i need strengthening, and pulling in of everything, not stretching it out). Pilates? |
