| I've heard arguments on both sides. Paint first so you don't drip paint/damage the floors. Do floors first so you don't mark up/dust up the walls and trim. We only have a little over a week to do both -- about a 1500 sq ft area. Advice? |
| There was just a thread on this less than a couple months ago - try a search in Off-Topic. I believe the consensus was paint first but there was a lot of good information/arguments for both. |
| I didn't see the other thread, but having had our floors refinished, I'd never paint first. Be prepared for dust on every single surface, including light sockets. The painters would help wipe it down to prep. |
| Sand the floors first, but don't refinish, until paint is done. Then refinish the floors. |
