Post-o temps consistent cycle to cycle?

Although I have been charting for years, I have very few luteal phases to compare; because of PCOS/hypothyroidism, I almost never ovulate. I do have one miscarriage cycle.

This is my question: do luteal phase temps generally stay the same cycle to cycle for most women? Like, they are always about 98.4, or 98.8, for the same person? Or is there lots of variation, where one cycle, you hover around 98.2, and others, you are around 98.9?

I have done my Fertility Friend research, but I am interested on the history for an individual over time.

For me, my luteal phases all look very different. They tend to be short (10 days), and I am all over the place: stay at 98.3, slowly creep up 97.5, 97.7, 97.8, 97.7, 97.9, 98.1, 98.4..., flutter really high at 98.8. Now I'm staying steady at 98.2, with a dip at 6DPO.

Does this mean my luteal phase is messed up? Can there be this much variation in one person?

I checked my charts for you on Fertility Friend - Looks like I swing between 97.7 and 98.3 up and down a bit - I think TCOYF addresses this directly in the book as to how much swing is ok. I hesitated to respond (saw this earlier) because I have had infertility issues, so not sure that my experience is exactly one to compare to! That said, my issues are high FSH and not a luteal phase defect. Hopefully others who are very fertile can respond for you.

I have one toddler, and started TTC about 4months ago. Honestly your lutheal phase sounds okay in terms of temp variation. Mine is always above my coverline pre ovulation, and hovers in the a range of 36.4-36.7. I always figured that was normal. Mine lasts about 14 days and then I get my period. Now I never charted with baby #1, so I can't say what happened post ovulation when I conceived.
