Food, Cooking, and Restaurants

I am throwing a pool party/barbecue in a few weeks and am trying to plan the menu. I am expecting around 20 people. Here is what I have so far. Mostly adults and a handful of kids ages 6-16.
veggie tray w/ dip deviled eggs pretzels cheeseburgers hot dogs potato salad macaroni salad tossed salad fruit salad chocolate chip cookies brownie bites beer wine soda water |
|
I forgot to include my question... Is this enough food? Anything you would add?
I was thinking of corn on the cob but didn't want the additional work of husking all that corn... |
|
looks good. Plenty of food. I might add veggie burgers and/or salmon burgers (easy to make with canned salmon or you can buy at trader joes or costco) for those who don't eat meat or red meat.

| I think it sounds perfect. My only suggestion is to remember condiments/fixings for the hot dogs and burgers. Oh, also deviled eggs in the sun are not a great idea, so maybe sub in chips and salsa for the eggs. (I do love deviled eggs, though!) |
| PP here - I am a vegetarian and as much as I appreciate when someone has veggie burgers, I'd be fine making a meal out of the salads you are planning! |
| I would add a main dish in addition to cheeseburgers and hot dogs--maybe either a chicken dish, veggie burger, or fish. |
| Have the kids husk the corn outside at the party. The younger ones would love it. |
| Where are you hosting the party? In the 1970s? Don't forget the Tab! |

There are no vegetarians coming so no worries there. I've remembered condiments and the deviled eggs will either be inside or outside on ice. They are my specialty and the one thing people expect to have!
Thanks for the help everyone!! Glad I have planned enough. |
| That seems like a lot of food. I would just plan on one burger per person and a watermelon. |
| Seriously? |
| I think 22:40 is referencing the post in off topic about the SIL who doesn't put out enough food at parties. |
