ME lighthouses in late October?

| My mom's 60th birthday is coming up and I wanted to plan a special trip for her. I was hoping she would say she wanted to go somewhere warm & sunny, but no - she'd like to see lighthouses in Maine. I haven't been up there in late October, but I was thinking it would probably be pretty chilly already. Any opinions/advice about visiting Maine that time of year? I know it's beautiful in the spring and summer but have no idea what to expect mid-fall. Thanks! |

| It can be chilly in late October. The foliage usually peaks in early October. |
