Do You Judge People Who DO Go To Church?

Anonymous
I think a lot of church going folk are Christian zealot, conservatives who push their thoughts, morals, and political views on me. I avoid them at all costs. Why would anyone care if one choses to attend church or not? As long as the person isn't sacrificing small children to satan, who cares if someone worships by meditating in their living room, or in a church setting. It's personal, who are you to judge how someone expresses their personal religious beliefs?

I do.

I judge them silently, but not in a real way. Some of my best friends (30+ years!) go to church every Sunday and I respect them very much. However, I just can't buy into organized religion this day and age myself.

The irony in the other thread is that most of the judgement is coming from non-church goers.

OP, so you essentially condemn church-goers, and then say "who are you to judge." Seems pretty hypocritical.

I'm so glad you don't care if anyone goes to church! I mean, they're mostly zealots pushing their political views on you and you avoid them like the plague, but hey, you're not judging them based on the fact that they attend church, so that's great.
LOL! Very cute.

No, it's called IRONY.

I do not care either way. GO to church, DONT go to church. Why on earth would the person in the other thread care???? Non-church goers are bad people? Sheesh.

I do. I don't really care much. But it gives me a vague feeling of "that person is not too bright". Sad but true.

Non-church goer here who reponded to the other thread. I absolutely do not judge someone who goes to church all the time. I'm the one who talked about everyone taking a different spiritual path and there is no right or wrong way to do it. However, it makes my skin crawl if someone tries to talk to me about Jesus, etc. or full-out proselytizes. I get very judgmental if that happens. But what people do in their own time? I don't care at all.

It is a shame you have such a narrow experience of what it means to be a churchgoer.

So far on this thread, the non-churchgoers are way more judgmental than the churchgoers on the other thread. Funny, that....

Sort of makes you want to hang out with the churchgoers on the other thread, instead of with the non-churchgoers on this thread.

I only judge them if they continually try to get me to go with them to THEIR church.

Right. The millions of non-American churchgoers are brainwashed by the U.S. Republican party. So, who is it who is not too bright?

not church, but other religions yes.
In some religions the families place a lot of value on their child having friends from among their 'tribe', so my kid would feel left out and now know why he is excluded.
