Daisy Baby warning....

I fell in love with this store when I first went in. Several months and over $1000 later I am sadly disappointed. I'm not sure I would recommend it for larger purchases. Perhaps a specialty gift, but that's it. I purchased my bedding, stroller, and carseat there. A big selling point was that the owner is a "certified" carseat installer and could do this for us. We had the infant carseat installed by her - it didn't really look like she knew what she was doing. I wasn't confident it was in securely. We had it inspected and the inspector was surpried that someone who claimed they were a "certified" installer had done it. It needed to be completely redone and there was a safetly latch that she hadn't attached- at all, never even mentioned. The staff also seemed less friendly and helpful once the purchases were made. I wonder if others have had similar experiences.

I know you didn't know any better, but you shouldn't trust your car seat installation to anyone other than the local inspection station, certainly not the flighty lady that runs Daisy Baby! And yes, I agree they are not so nice when they know you don't have any large purchases coming up.

OP here- you are absolutelty right. I should not have trusted it to her, and utimately had it done right. I just fell right into the sales trap. I should have bought it at Buy Buy Baby - I was trying to support a local, small business. Lesson learned--- mainly due to attitude rec'vd there if you don't have a super huge wallet.

My sister in law had THREE child bedrooms designed by Dana (one very recently) and all furniture, etc.. purchased there (way too rich for my blood). When I mentioned her name and that she had referred me there, Dana had no idea who she was. I find that odd and not a good way to build relationships with clients.
