Has anyone's PCOS "corrected" itself?

I was diagnosed by one OB-GYN as having PCOS- I had the "pearl necklace" ovaries, which I saw myself via ultrasound and an irregular period. Bloodwork showed nothing elevated though and I didn't have any of the other symptoms (no excess weight, facial hair, or thinning hair).

I was on metformin to regular my cycle and ended up getting pregnant. I just went to have another ultrasound today and they found no evidence of the polycystic ovaries. I had blood work taken yesterday so I guess that will be more helpful, but was told that sometimes after getting pregnant, PCOS disappears on its own.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Actually, my symptoms are beginning to go away and I am for the first time finding it (relatively) easy to lose weight. I am 48, however, and wondered if that was the onset of perimenopause.

Yes! I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teen, needed help from metformin and low dose shots to get pregnant with first baby. Went back to RE prior to trying to have second baby and PCOS was cured--periods were regular, no pearl necklace appearance on sonogram and got pregnant with zero assistance within three months!
