I was diagnosed by one OB-GYN as having PCOS- I had the "pearl necklace" ovaries, which I saw myself via ultrasound and an irregular period. Bloodwork showed nothing elevated though and I didn't have any of the other symptoms (no excess weight, facial hair, or thinning hair).
I was on metformin to regular my cycle and ended up getting pregnant. I just went to have another ultrasound today and they found no evidence of the polycystic ovaries. I had blood work taken yesterday so I guess that will be more helpful, but was told that sometimes after getting pregnant, PCOS disappears on its own. Has this happened to anyone else? |

I wish!
Actually, my symptoms are beginning to go away and I am for the first time finding it (relatively) easy to lose weight. I am 48, however, and wondered if that was the onset of perimenopause. |
| Yes! I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teen, needed help from metformin and low dose shots to get pregnant with first baby. Went back to RE prior to trying to have second baby and PCOS was cured--periods were regular, no pearl necklace appearance on sonogram and got pregnant with zero assistance within three months! |
