Do you send a child to school with an ear infection?

My daughter has an ear infection and I am worried about sending her to kindergarten tomorrow. I know it is not contagious, but I am worried that she will be in pain and they are not allowed to administer any Motrin or Tylenol. She just started the antibiotics today.

I know this may seem like a silly question, but do I send her to school? Will they call if she is in pain? Will they let me bring the Motrin to her at lunch time and administer it myself?

I bring medicine to my kids at school all the time, mostly decongestants. It's not a problem at our school. I think if your daughter has no fever and little to no pain or fatique tomorrow, then she's strong enough for school.

I have never had a problem bringing medication to my kids at school. Also, I have also been called whever one of my kids wasn't feeling well. If she feels good enough to go to school in the morning, I wouldn't have any reservations about sending her. I hope she feels better!
