| Taking the kids to Cabin John Park tomorrow for the 1st time. Looking for recommendations for good, kid-friendly lunch spots near there and also any tips for a fun day at the park. Kids are 5.5yo and 3yo. tia |

I love this park but its better with 2 adults for two kids if you want to keep them within sight lines. Our kids will run in opposite directions, spend several minutes in one section, and then run to the next area. After they make a lap or two they will eventually settle on one area. Our friends have had the same experience. Bring some money to ride the train, this is a big hit. Bathrooms are public park bathrooms so we usually make sure the kids go before we get there.
Cabin John Mall, which is not really a mall just a small shopping area, is at Tuckerman and Seven Locks has Chicken Out, California Tortilla, Broadway Pizza and Starbucks. If you go south out of the park toward Westlake Montgomery Mall, which is a big mall, has Legal seafood, CA pizza kitchen, a food court etc. |
| There's a Ledo Pizza on Westlake too. |
| Second the vote for Cabin John Mall. Note that they no longer have Chicken Out, but have gained the BGR burger place, in addition to McDonald's. Also, there is a small stripmall across from Montgomery Mall, i.e. behind the new Home Depot (former Home Depot Expo, former Hechinger's) is Vince and Dominic's Pizza and a Five Guys. Located adjacent to Montgomery Mall (off Westlake) is Corner Bakery and Ledo Pizza. |
| Noodles & Company is good in Montgomery Mall and very kid friendly. |
| McD's at Cabin John Mall, has a play area. |
A very tiny play area, not like some of the big MCDonald's playplaces, like near Redland Road. |
