Please tell me about the principal at College Gardens ES

| We have just moved to Rockville and heard good things about the school, but how about the principal? |

| Mr Ewald was new to the school this year. He came from a much smaller Bethesda school. I think he is still getting his feet wet. No complaints or raves at this point. |

| He was my PE teacher in elementary school 20 years ago, and I still remember how nice he was to students back then. So... that's something! |

| also--he's been in MCPS 20+ years as an educator, so I wouldn't say he's getting his feet wet. He may be new to the school, but he isn't one of the "young" principals who taught for two years and then jumped on the fast track to administration. |

| No, he is not new to education but he was new to a very large diverse school setting. And all principals have a learning curve when entering a new school. Kinder than calling him ineffective from the start. Year #2 starts soon.. |
