I love Pollo Compero. I go to the one in Laurel, MD but I don't think the location matters.

Not particularly apropos, but there's a chain of fried chicken restaurants in SW Georgia called "Maryland Fried Chicken".
As someone who grew up in the MD suburbs, I always found this hilarious in a disorienting kind of way.

I just came from South Carolina- we saw the Maryland Fried Chicken chain too!! It was mixed in with the waffle houses and the fireworks stands.
