close to DC place for mom's weekend away

I'm looking for a resort or nice hotel in an interesting area (city or country) where I can go for a mom's retreat/ weekend away from DH and kids. Any suggestions for a place within an hour or hour and a half drive from DC with an outdoor pool for sunbathing and book reading?

OP here - I'll check this out - I didn't even realize this was so close to DC.

I did a girl's night at Lansdowne and it was nice. We did spa treatments and had a nice dinner and breakfast the next day. Also check out the Hyatt Resort in Cambridge, MD
