Favorite place for cocktails?

I'm planning a girls night out and looking for somewhere in dc, preferably metro accessible with fun cocktails and a nice atmosphere (not too club-y). Thanks!

I've heard good things about The Gibson. If you're feeling adventurous, head over to H Street. "Fruit Bat" and "Church and State" are the newest "artisanal" cocktail places in the city. Great stuff...

The Ritz in G'town on South Street off of Wisconsin (between M+ K off Wisconsin Ave..)...very lovely setting ...can either sit in lobby and order drinks or go to bar. During the winter, the lobby always has a fireplace going. They have a happy hour with half-priced nibbles too. I always see lots of "girls groups" there. Very homey. You'll always see a famous face or two.
