Schools and Education General Discussion
|
My child is on two waiting lists for Catholic schools. One is a short list and the other is long. We would love for him to attend either one of these schools. People keep telling me that in years past people get in off the wait list but sometimes it happens in August. Has this happened to anyone and how did you handle putting together all of the details with such short notice?

| I got off a wait list for St Luke in Mclean..told at the time it was impossible to get off so it happens. We decided to stick with our other choice but..if I had really wanted it..not that big a deal. You have to basically give the same health forms and you will have to go in for a placement test..that's about it. I wouldn't worry about it..if you get in..you will have assistance to get through any forms etc. Good luck! |
Thank you, my child has already done and passed the kindergarten readiness test at the one with the short list so we are good to go there. Thanks! |
| No problem then..you will be fine. You might want to ask if they can introduce you to a family or two so you can set up a playdate. I have done this for the school we are going to and I think it will help with the adjustment. Good luck! |
