I posted this in off-topic but don't have much of a response, so am posting here.
Am wondering if either of these neighborhoods are family-friendly? We have two small kids and are seeking neighborhoods with lots of kids and social neighbors who are actually friends with one another. Thanks in advance/ |
Kensington-Parkwood area has tons of little kids. Lots of parks and it is near the Beach |
I live in Bethesda but am envious of my friends mommy network in Kensington Parkwood. The Mom's club is very active there and there seem to be a lot of wonderful families in that area.
I also have a co-worker that lives in CC view and she describes a very friendly block of kids playing up and down here street. Like all neighborhoods, I expect it varies from block to block. But I've seen and heard some very positive things about this one. There is a neighborhood pool. If you are in the zone to join that. It seems to be the center of the summer social secene. |
Thanks for the helpful info. |
To the poster from BEthesda...do you know if there is an active Moms club in Bethesda? I recently moved from Kensington Parkwood to Bethesda (the Wyngate area) and have been meaning to look into whether there is a Mom club.
OP - Kensington Parkwood is a great community! THere are tons of kids and the Moms club is great. Good luck! |
There are several Bethesda area mom's clubs. If you are West of Old Georgetown Road, I have several friends that are active in the Mom's Club. Interestingly, my DD will start at Wyngate next year but we live on the East Side of Old Georgetown Road so are in a different momsclub. I haven't heard as much about the Mom's club in my immediate neighborhood.
