I love the one in the bakery section at Chevy Chase Supermarket. Haven't tried any others in the area, but I'm looking forward to reading some suggestions!

Drive to Philly. Get a Tastykake. Best crumb cake ever.

Also love an Entenmann's crumb cake. Reminds me of my grandmother.

Mmmm....crumb cake....

Boy, these are some helpful suggestions, huh, OP? I don't know if you're looking for a big cake, like for a brunch, or just a few small pieces for whatever reason. I think the crumb cake at whole foods is really good, you'd probably need to buy a few if this is for a crowd. If you don't need much, the individual pieces at au bon pain are amazing. Actually, you know where they have really good crumb cake is le pain quotidien, but again, it's sold in individual pieces and gets very pricey. My DH is a huge crumb cake fan, hence my knowledge of all these different varieties.

What about Heidelberg Bakery in Arlington? You know crumb cake is originally German and Heidelberg is a German bakery.
