I'm a bit obsessive about old food in the fridge. I made spaghetti with meat sauce on Friday night. Is it still safe today? I want to freeze it into meals for later. My husband always gets frustrated with me b/c he says I throw away perfectly good food. However, right now all I can imagine is bacteria multiplying in my spaghetti sauce right now. |

And not freze it? Or is is OK to freeze into smaller portions for later meals? |
| I have eaten 3 day old spaghetti. I wouldn't freeze it at this point, though. |
| Four days max. |
| I would eat it. I wouldn't freeze it. |
| Agreed. Too late to freeze. I wouldn't eat it tonight, but most (read: far less OCD) people would! |
| PP again...they have little food safety handouts by the doors at Whole Foods that tell you how long it is safe to store different foods for in the fridge, freezer, etc. They're really helpful to have on hand. |
