Fascinating show. These people are basically living the same way for hundreds of years, and that's a lot of hard and dangerous work for only a few dollars. Just can't stop watching.

I'm sure my facination will wear off, but right now when I do watch it I'm mainly in awe of how other people in the US make a living. I've only experienced military and business backgrounds so to have a small view into shrimping, gator hunting, etc - is really foreign and interesting to me.

I grew up in south Louisiana where the first day of shrimp season and the first day of deer season were school holidays

I'm from southern LA too! We didn't get those holidays though.
