Hi Jeff,
I have previously flagged posts and given an explanation of why, but I continue to see this nanny posting here though she has started changing her information to avoid being noticed. There is a nanny posting primarily in the DC/MD nanny job/nanny position forums who started off by posting a reference letter that a previous boss of mine wrote for me which has been posted here in the past. She changed some info, but overwhelmingly the body of the letter was identical to mine. I have serious concerns about this, because I am also about to be actively job searching on these forums. If this nanny is sending families/posting on here my reference letter, and I am also sending it along, it is going to be noticed by people. More likely than not I will be looked over for jobs as a result despite the letter actually being mine. This is completely unfair and unacceptable. I worked hard in that position and earned the trust and respect of the family I was with- for her to be able to post here/contact families and in the process destroy some of my credibility is wrong on many levels. I have called her out on every post I can find, but even though she has started posting other weird posts here rather than my reference letter- that doesn't stop her from contacting families here and trying to obtain jobs using my letter. As is, we have both applied to some of the same positions undoubtedly both using my letter. As long as she has access to the forums she is able to do damage with her lies. I know you have banned nannies for saying rude things to parents seeking nannies, so I am hopeful you will consider banning this person for having lied/stolen from another nanny's post on your forums. Below is a link to one of her many posts on here: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/170262.page#1595259 and here is another of her newer posts using different contact info (including her name!) for herself, but the same contact phone number: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/0/172261.page#1608519 Thanks for your time and for giving this matter some thought. I know you are busy and a lot of work must go into running these forums, I appreciate your efforts and having DCUM here as a resource for both parents and nannies to find care/positions. |
Don't post your references also don't give them out until you meet the potential boss. |
I don't. The post was a reference post written by the family and posted for me here as many families do for their nannies when they are no longer needed. But the family wrote the post after they wrote their reference letter- so the post and the letter were very similar. The post was posted here as intended, the letter was not, but since they were very similar, it doesn't really matter to distinguish between the post/letter. |
