What kind of cover for iPad 2?

I'm getting my husband an iPad for father's day. It will be our first! We do have two young children, so I want to keep it as protected as possible. It looks like there are a million different types of covers/cases for it - do any of you have any recs for which cover worked well on yours? Something to protect it from greasy little fingers and the occasional drop would be ideal. I know after having my last cell phone destroyed by a toddler who dropped it down a flight of hardwood stairs, I got a rubber cover for my new phone and that thing seems to be totally unbreakable now! It has survived many a nasty toss. I'm hoping they have something similar for the iPad!

I just got a leather cover on amazon for mine. It's a potfolio style and has the same automatic sleep/wake function as the Apple smart cover. You can also prop the iPad up in two different positions using the cover (also similar to the smart cover). The brand is Snugg.
