My husband declined my offer to get him something for Father's Day, then this weekend he mentioned if I could find a good pizza stone for the outdoor grill that was not crazy expensive, that might be a good option.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I found some online that I will run by him since this is much more his area of expertise but would love some recs from you all. Thanks! |
| I think someone once told me to spring for the Williams-Sonoma one because it is thicker and they guarantee it won't crack. We use one in the oven and a 1/4" one eventually cracked, but so far so good on W-S. |
| You don't even need a stone in order to grill pizzas. DH has been grilling them for us for the past couple of months and they are absolutely delicious. We've had company over and made them for everyone, too. We just put oil on the dough, put it on the grill (charcoal in our case), then put olive oil on the uncooked side before flipped. Quickly add sauce, cheese, toppings. We've only done individual sized pizzas on the grill so far, but will probably try a large pizza soon. |
| Williams-Sonoma has a grill specific one on their homepage today. |
