Let's Dish and kids

Have you ever brought your elementary-aged kids to help with food preparation at Let's Dish? I know I can (and will) check, but I thought this might be a question other's may have.

I have brought mine to Dream Dinners in Silver Spring. The website says in bold letters, no one under 12 yo. When I got there, they had stools, kid sized aprons and were happy to have them participate. Suggest only bringing one child at a time, when I brought both my kids it was too much to supervise.

Hi! Ruth here from Let's Dish! We're so happy that you are planning to bring your child to Let's Dish! Here's how it works...

On the Second Sunday of every month all of the area Let's Dish! locations have "Parent/Kid" sessions. It's a great opportunity to meet other "dishers" and from my experience working at these sessions, kids love dishing with other kids versus a room full of just grown-ups Please note that kids are welcome at any session (not just Parent/Kid sessions) provided they meet our guidelines:
~must be at least 8 years old
~must be able to follow basic food safety instructions
~must be accompanied by an adult while dishing
~one child per disher

Hope this information helps. Happy dishing!
