What color blouses/tops can I wear with these pants?

I just bought these pinstripe/pincord pants. While I like them and they fit well, I am wondering if I am limited to just wearing navy or white tops with them, or if pincord is perceived kind of in a "neutral" way (like the way jeans are), in that any color top is acceptable to wear with them. What do you think?

pink or green would work. super preppy look. also yellow.

I think you can vary it a bit. The top should match the vibe of the pants, if you follow me, wo I wouldn't go with a really bright/loud color, and I would stick to solids, but I think a lot of colors could work.

i'd say just start trying things on ... so much just depends on how the shades and the shapes work together. i wouldn't rule out a small floral print if it compliments the blue; could be super cute if chosen well. nice pants, btw!

They are navy, right? (They look grey on my screen). But either way, I treat navy as a neutral and probably would do so with grey too, but I don't wear grey because it makes me look consumptive.

Pincord traditionally is navy and white.

I'd wear any color (other than black, brown, grey) solid. Brights will "pop" and make the pincord dress as a neutral. If you've got em, shoes to match the top. To me, anyway, white or navy to "match" the pants will look dull in comparison to a color.

anything would go with it. on what not to wear, they always call a little color pinstripe as a neutral, and it's barely even visible on these pants. Color!
