Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)

According to an article in the Connection, Liz Bradsher will not run for Fairfax County School Board's Springfield District seat, BUT she may run for one of the three at-large seats.
From the article: "I am still weighing my options. There are things going on in my private life that I have to take care of," said Bradsher in an interview. http://www.connectionnewspapers.com/article.asp?article=351453&paper=72&cat=104 Does she have ANY sense how much she is despised by not only Springfield district residents but Fairfax County residents in general? |
| Most Fairfax County residents don't have a clue who she is. |
| Are you a sour grapes Clifton School resident, OP? |
No. I don't live in Clifton. |
| I dont apparently care for her but she does have some followers in FFX Station |
| Ughhhhh. |
| A person does not need to be a Clifton resident to be less than pleased with the manner in which Liz Bradsher (along with a few other people) conducted their FCPS business over the last 12-18 months. She is a manipulative liar with an overinflated sense of herself. She also seems to believe that she is above the concept of treating others the way you would like to be treated. |
agree completely-brader et al should be voted out - by all residents of fairfax - good that she wants to try at large - it will drive home the point from all voters in the county that behind-the-scenes sophomoric tactics shouldn't be rewarded |
Or it could be a cynical ploy trying to take advantage of the fact that, in an at-large race with a bunch of candidates, an incumbent who has a small base of loyal supporters but is otherwise totally despised may fare better than a well-intentioned, honest newcomer with little name recognition. |

No way the Fairfax Democrats will support Bradsher.
You've got a fair number of parents who'll support anyone else. Clifton should have been closed (or a small tax district created to support it), but the FCSB was dishonest and terrible in how they did it. |
It doesn't matter too much whom the Fairfax Democrats decide to support. The relevant question with an at-large contest is how many candidates will end up on the ballot, how much name recognition they have, and how many supporters will vote for them. I hope Bradsher never gets elected to another political office in her life, but I would not dismiss her odds in an at-large race simply because many people dislike her greatly. |
