| Anything you can recommend, aside from getting a cherry pitter? My kids are 1 and 3, so too young to eat cherries with the pit in them. Thanks. |

I do my best to cut them in half-- give the kid the half without the pit and eat the other half myself.
I have to say my spouse laughed at me when I bought a cherry pitter but they are handy. |
| Get the cherry pitter. Seriously. They're inexpensive and I've yet to find anything that's as good. It's quicker and much less messy than doing it with a knife. |
Ditto. |
| Cherry pitter. You can also use it to pit olives. I am anti-unnecessary gadgets, but it doesn't take up that much room and really is good (and safer than a knife, I feel) for those two tasks. |
| Yep, I finally bought a pitter a couple of years ago and can't believe I waited so long. It's awesome and DS can use it himself. Oxo brand. Use a bed bath and beyond coupon. |
| My kids are the same age. I finally caved and bought a cherry chomper off amazon. My daughter loves pitting them now! |
